Mount Auburn Hospital is seeking candidates for a Clinician position in the Department of Outpatient Psychiatry. We are seeking candidates with a commitment to community health, individuals with substance use issues, and medically complex young and older adults. In keeping with the commitment of integrated care, Mount Auburn Hospital seeks individuals who are collaborative, team players, who wish to develop clinically with a diverse patient population.

As a full-time Clinician, you will provide direct clinical services to clients that include diagnostic assessments, and individual therapy with opportunity to provide group and couples therapy. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists and neuropsychologists to help provide optimal care for your patients as well as learn from your colleagues.

As a member of the Outpatient Psychiatry team you will have the opportunity to develop and foster clinical skills through our diverse patient population and individual and group supervision. The Mount Auburn Hospital community also provides monthly continuing education. Most uniquely, the Outpatient Psychiatry Department promotes clinicians development of their own private practice while continuing to support our local community.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Provides short-term focused treatment in the Outpatient Department to individuals, couples, and families.

2. Provides acute assessment of patients in the Emergency Room and Walk-In Clinic under the supervision of the Program Director and back-up psychiatrist.

3. Provides intensive outpatient care for recently discharged patients.

4. Provides documentation of care in coordination with clinic requirements.

5. Provides supervision, training and instruction. 6. Maintains an active caseload, which results in clinical interventions comprising 75% of worked hours.

Job Description:

1. Completes initial psychiatric evaluations for diagnostic clarification and therapeutic treatment recommendations.

2. Provides short-term focused treatment to individuals and groups.

3. Provides documentation of care in coordination with clinic requirements.

4. Participates in weekly team meetings and clinical case conferences.

5. Works collaboratively with the clinic psychiatrists, neuropsychologists, counselors, and primary care providers to optimize patient care.

6. Familiar with different treatment modalities including CBT, MI and subsatance use.

7. Ability to maintain long term theraputic relationships.
