Assistant Surveillance Shift Manager

We're hiring an Assistant Surveillance Shift Manager. In this role, you'll:

  • Direct and supervise surveillance operators.
  • Carry out department policies and procedures, train and schedule surveillance operators.
  • Report all illegal and unusual activities to the Surveillance Shift Manager or VP of Surveillance Operations.
  • Ensure that all Surveillance Operations are in compliance with state of Michigan Administrative Rules, corporate and company policies and procedures as well as system of internal controls.
  • Manage the observation, detection and recording of all suspicious activities.
  • Advise VP of Surveillance and Surveillance Shift Managers of any potential threats to staff and guest safety or to the company’s assets.

Requirements:

  • One year previous surveillance experience and completion of demonstrated game knowledge (or any other alternative deemed appropriate).
  • One year supervisory or management experience.
  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures, casino games as well as a broad knowledge of security, casino and state rules and regulations.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to maintain operation of the shift and able to work and make decisions under extreme stress and high pressure conditions.
  • Strong communications skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must be able to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of surveillance-related equipment (e.g., cameras, monitors, systems, etc.).
  • Ability to multi-task and function in a fast pace environment.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • High School Diploma or GED (or any other alternative deemed appropriate).
