Surveillance Operator I


  • Under the general direction of the Vice President of Surveillance Operations this position will monitor gaming and non-gaming related activities and procedures.  Ensures that company’s policy, goals and objectives are being adhered to and works in the best interest of the company.  Performs all other duties as assigned and/or described per company’s procedures.


  1. Conduct surveillance of gaming areas for possible cheating, theft and other criminal acts, noncompliance of the Michigan Gaming Administrative Rules, MCCH System of Internal Control, Company Policies, State and Federal Regulations.
  2. Demonstrate familiarity of controls and procedures for every CNE department and position, including gaming and non-gaming. Able to evaluate and identify deviations from established standards, and document (i.e., log) and prepare a Surveillance Incident Report for these deviations.
  3. Responds to phone calls for video review requests, regulatory compliance questions, observation requests, all required notifications, and other requests for information, as well as request from Audit Services, Gaming Regulators, Michigan State Police, Risk Management, Human Resources, and other outside agencies.
  4. Assist Security Department with video reviews, monitoring incidents for officer safety and emergency situations such as bomb threats, fire emergencies, robberies, and other types of criminal and unacceptable public behavior (i.e., disorderly conduct).
  5. Individuals with surveillance and/or loss prevention background will be considered first (must have experience detailed in job application/resume)
  6. Degreed individuals or (any other alternate deemed experience).
  7. Must have ability to demonstrate excellent written skills.
