Benefits Coordinator

Description:

Summary:

Responsible for providing day to day assistance to the Benefits leadership team. Develop and deliver benefits communications, organize and oversee on-site events and vendor visits, and handle day to day processes involving team member enrollment for company-issued benefits.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Act as a Human Resources Benefits department liaison to all properties and locations, visiting them as needed to discuss benefits with team members and answer any questions they may have.
  • Proactively schedule on-property benefit events and classes, communicate the events via approved communication methods, handle the enrollment of event attendees, following up with to help ensure appropriate attendance.
  • Oversee the events by ensuring any presenters are set up and ready to present when scheduled, ensuring the presenters have all the tools needed, and perform any related-follow up, as deemed necessary.
  • Conduct onsite benefit presentations, as needed.
  • Ensure all property Benefits communications boards are consistently updated.
  • Create and deliver Benefits communication pieces, including but not limited to flyers, posters, monthly newsletters, and email blasts, as assigned.
  • Work with corporate Marketing department with communication projects.
  • Send announcements out to newly eligible team members notifying them of their eligibility, ensuring those team members are familiar with how to enroll and answers any benefits questions they may have.
  • Coordinate with company benefits providers to ensure any team member enrollments were successfully completed and submitted.
  • Assist team members with benefits questions to include eligibility and claims issues.
  • Process enrollments and changes in the benefit portal daily.
  • Run weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc benefits reports, processes enrollment data feeds, and ensure the HRIS and benefit portal system updates.
  • Coordinate the reconciliation of carrier monthly billing and process accordingly.
  • Appropriately handle all medical support orders.
  • Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with team member benefits preferred.
  • Bilingual preferred but not required.
  • Ability to effectively organize materials, set priorities, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience performing same or similar duties within a gaming company preferred.
  • Ability to handle confidential matters sensitively and appropriately.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with initiative to come up with possible solutions to challenges without being asked.
  • Experience maintaining positive outlook and friendly communication style during fast-paced periods while handling multi-tasking responsibilities.
  • Outgoing personality with the ability to proactively generate positive working relationships with team members.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in small groups, as well as on an individual-basis.
  • Efficient using Microsoft office programs, spreadsheets, databases, and HRIS management tools.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
  • Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company.
  • Verify right to work in the United States
