Database Marketing Specialist

Description:

Summary:

Evolve direct consumer communication processes and affects change for both traditional mail and email campaigns. Provide actionable recommendations to improve net revenues. Maintain in-depth knowledge of database marketing campaign design and performance. Assist in campaign production and monitoring.

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of all DM campaigns, including strategy, segmentation, reinvestment, historical and recent performance
  • Review analysis and make recommendations for changes and tests
  • Regularly review procedures to ensure efficiency and the needs of all stakeholders are met
  • Document inefficiencies, create plans to address them, and execute the plans
  • Responsible for understanding marketing capabilities of all software systems used by DM
  • Utilize the campaign management platform on a daily basis to set-up, schedule, deliver and report on all direct targeted communications
  • Day-to-day management of campaigns from multiple communication channels, including but not limited to editing messages, design creation, copy reviews, structuring A/B tests, scheduling deliveries, and reporting on results
  • Troubleshoot issues encountered during production of database marketing materials
  • Responsible for understanding the needs of stakeholders upstream and downstream of database marketing
  • Responsible for the research of guest specific questions from properties
  • Provide support to Database Marketing team as needed
  • Develop and document standard timelines of all workflows
  • Manage campaigns to ensure initiatives are on strategy, on time, and within budget parameters
  • Exhibit a proper attitude in effectively dealing with guests, management, team members, and outside contacts
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, as they apply to the position
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years previous experience in database marketing and/or email marketing performing the same or similar job duties preferred
  • Knowledge of marketing data management and customer segmentation/targeted marketing preferred
  • E-commerce/consumer product marketing experience preferred
  • Experience with HTML preferred
  • Must be able and willing to adapt to a fluid environment, accept challenges and work proactively on marketing initiatives
  • Ability to develop relationships with stakeholders
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong mathematical, statistical and strategic thinking skills
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of Konami, MGT, LMS and SQL preferred
  • At least 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Four year college degree in Business, Statistics, Finance, Marketing or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
  • Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
  • Verify right to work in the United States
