Count Team Attendant

The Strat (Las Vegas, NV)

Description:

Summary: Handles slot bill validators, table games drops, audit fills/credits and reconciliations, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations of the Nevada Gaming Control Board, federal and state laws governing monetary transactions and company policies, procedures and controls.

 

 

Essential Functions:

  • Conducts all facets of the count from the opening of the boxes, preparing of the drop, verification of documentation and bundling of currency to the final reconciliation of totals, as well as any other related tasks
  • Ensures the integrity of all soft count transactions
  • Assists in a mechanically assisted count of the contents of the table drop boxes to determine by table the amount of the drop and the win
  • Prepares various reports, including stiff sheets, transfer sheets, audit fills and credit slips, reconciles all totals to the master summary and forwards all information to appropriate individuals
  • Handles the slot coin and bill validator drop pick-ups, weighing, wrapping, canning and transferring the slot coin drop to the coin vault
  • Maintains all records, reports and other required paperwork in the count division
  • Conducts the necessary research to effectively resolve soft count disputes
  • Accountable, to a high degree, for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Effective communication skills
  • Extremely numbers-oriented and computer-literate
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Must be at least 21 and be able to furnish all documents required to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret basic instructions, furnished in written, oral or diagram form
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Ability to apply commonsense reasoning to a variety of situations
  • Some college accounting courses preferred

  • Walking, standing and stooping (90% of the time)
  • Vision (critical)
  • Work for sustained periods of time maintaining concentrated attention to detail
  • Frequently lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 100 lbs. or more
