Apprentice Bartender

The Strat (Las Vegas, NV)

Description:

Summary: Maintains stock of necessary beverages and other related bar supplies. Follows all operating procedures, safety regulations and Stratosphere policies and procedures.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Deliver exceptional guest service as defined by Stratosphere
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of work area, bar tops, floors and line equipment
  • Receive, issue and keep necessary records of liquor and other bar supplies
  • Assist bartenders with mixing and serving alcoholic beverages and/or non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and procedures 
  • Refill and stock garnishes and glassware
  • Follow cash handling and Info Genesis POS procedures
  • Follow cash and comp procedures
  • Maintain appropriate sound and music levels as designated by management
  • Maintain appropriate television programming as designated by management
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • At least one year previous apprentice bartender experience within the past 3 years preferred
  • At least six months previous apprentice bartender experience and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must have basic knowledge of common drink recipes within the industry
  • Ability to handle a cash bank
  • Excellent communication and guest service skills required
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Walking, standing or stooping (75% of the time)
  • Ability to communicate via radios
