Financial Reporting Specialist

Responsible for the day to day administration and tactical execution of financial reports and other related documents on behalf of the company for the SEC and other regulatory agencies.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, compile and analyze financial statements and footnotes for inclusion in Form 10-Ks, 10-Qs and quarterly earnings releases.
  • Coordinate with property management and corporate departments to gather, analyze, and prepare information to support external reporting needs.
  • Prepare stand-alone property financial statements for regulatory reporting purposes.
  • Perform equity-related accounting and administrative matters.
  • Research technical accounting issues and prepare documentation supporting company positions.
  • Coordinate and prepare financial statements for accounting changes, acquisitions or dispositions.
  • Assist in the periodic updating of the Company’s accounting policy manual.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during quarterly reviews, annual audits and as needed.
  • Make recommendations to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of financial reporting.
  • Provide outstanding service in a timely manner to both fellow team members that meets the company’s service culture standards
  • Other duties as assigned by management.



  • Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in finance, accounting and/or auditing.
  • Strong organizational, research and analytical skills. Able to effectively organize materials, set priorities, and provide feedback or follow up.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain calm in a very high-paced, busy environment.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and SEC reporting rules, local jurisdiction gaming laws (federal and state) and reporting internal controls, policies and procedures. 
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Must have excellent computer skills (experience with Microsoft Word and Excel).
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
  • Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company.
  • Verify right to work in the United States.
