JOB DESCRIPTION:

JOB SUMMARY:   Maintain an accurate balance count of company assets while providing a high level of guest service and promoting a positive attitude to create a fun and entertaining experience for guests and team members.  Assist shift managers with the operations of assigned cage work areas on assigned shift.  Maintain compliance with company policies and department internal controls and operating procedures.

 SPECIFIC DUTIES PERFORMED:  This list of tasks is illustrative ONLY and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by positions in this class. It does not imply that all positions within the class perform all of the duties listed, nor does it necessarily list all possible duties that may be assigned.

  1. Responsible for bankroll and reconciles bankroll at the conclusion of the shift.
  2. Maintains an accurate reconciliation summary of all incoming and outgoing transactions.
  3. Reconciles daily cage paperwork as to balance.
  4. Accountable for accurate preparation of daily deposits and all associated paperwork.
  5. Accurately verifies and receives soft count revenues.
  6. Performs fills and credits for the table games department to keep appropriate levels of chips on the gaming tables.
  7. Performs fills, as needed, and reconciles the slot redemption kiosks if necessary.
  8. Cashes out internal guests efficiently, accurately and in a courteous manner.
  9. Performs even exchanges with various cashiers in the gaming operation as needed to replenish funds to service guests.
  10. Assists in maintaining complete and accurate records necessary in the operation of the                            cage.
  11. Has friendly, attentive, professional attitude and communication with team members.
  12.  Ensures assigned work area is sufficiently stocked with necessary supplies and functional equipment.
  13. Communicates break schedule with other vault cashiers and lead cashiers or above.
  14. Communicates all issues, concerns, and significant information to lead cashiers as well as Cage management.
  15. Accepts responsibility for own actions.
  16. Know and follow all Cage Internal Controls.
  17. Engage their guest through the entire cashier experience.
  18. Conduct each transaction efficiently and accurately.
  19. Communicate with different departments when needed to track individuals play.
  20. Encourage guests to have and use Summit Rewards Card.
  21. Thank the guest for playing or wish them “good luck”.
  22. Arrives to work on time as scheduled, prepared to work and reports in appropriately.
  23. Completes full shift as scheduled daily, shares in responsibility of the work load of assigned shift.
  24. Provides insights to improve the guest experience, actively seeks to build new skills; teaches others and shares best practices.
  25. Takes responsibility for their performance, knows how they are performing and constantly strives to improve.
  26. Familiar with and use those policies and procedures as contained in the Team Member Handbook.
  27. Acts as a mentor for their peers, builds on strengths and considers the success of the team members as their success.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

SUPERVISION EXCERCISED:  None.

 

LICENSE REQUIRED: Must obtain and hold a Class III gaming license while employed and complete an annual background check with TGA.

 

MINUMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION:  High School diploma or GED equivalent required.  A minimum of 1 - 2 year of cash handling experience required.  Applicants must also pass a company basic math and currency knowledge test to be eligible for this position.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  Must be able to stand for long periods of time – up to 10 hours – and bend, push, lift, and carry up to 30 pounds in weight.  May be required to work various shifts with multiple start times.

 

SPECIFIC SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE FOR POSITION:  Strong communication skills with the ability to read and speak English.  Must be able to work in a fast paced environment at various tempos and concentrate amid distractions.  Must be able to work calmly and professionally in stressful situations.  Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.  Must have the ability to display attention to detail in paperwork.
