JOB DESCRIPTION:

JOB SUMMARY:  Assists in creating an educational, exciting, fun, safe, and friendly environment that provides casino team members with a quality on-site childcare facility.

SPECIFIC DUTIES PERFORMED:   This list of tasks is illustrative ONLY and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by positions in this class.   1. Assists Supervising Teacher in carrying out the entire classroom program.
  2. Assists in the supervision and guidance of the child’s development.
  3. Maintains a positive, safe, and healthy classroom environment.
  4. Makes sure that play areas and materials are cleaned daily.
  5. Assists in the planning and organizing of classroom activities as assigned by the Supervising Teacher.
  6. Participates in the classroom teaching by working cooperatively with all team members.
  7. Assists in the maintenance of appropriate records as assigned by the Supervising Teacher.
  8. Works with parents under the direction of the Supervising Teacher.
  9. Acts as Supervising Teacher in absence of teacher.
  10. Participates in center events.
  11. Builds relationships inside and outside their department/team to improve ways of working and provide a great guest experience.
  12. Models for the team, a strong work ethic and is visible, available and present for the guest and their team.
  13. Identifies ways to improve workflows and processes to work smarter and increase efficiency.
  14. Makes judgment calls based on understanding Legends Casinos’ Purpose, Values and objectives while utilizing research, knowledge and experience.
  15. Proactively shares guest feedback with executive management and peers in the spirit of continuous improvement.
  16. Seeks to share and improve processes and workflows based on guest feedback.
  17. Finds way to make good use of their strengths and talents.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

SUPERVISION EXCERCISED:  None.

 

LICENSE REQUIRED:  Must obtain and hold a Class II gaming license while employed and complete an annual background check with TGA.

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED FOR POSITION:  High School graduate or equivalent required.  Basic supervision skills, necessary certification and good communication skills required.   Must have a minimum of 6 months child care experience.  Must be able to obtain First aid card/CPR, Food Handlers card. Must have TB Test prior to hire. Prefer 30 hours Initial Training through an approved training provider or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire. Prefer Early Childhood Certificate. Will be required to enroll in classes to obtain if certificate not completed.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  Must be able to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting children or heavy items (up to 50#’s unassisted), bending, standing, climbing or walking.  Must be able to work safely in an environment containing biological conditions which may be unhealthy or hazardous (such as bodily fluids and waste, germs, childhood disease).
