Job Description:

POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Associate Social Marketing Manager is responsible for overseeing brand communications, community management, content development and promotions to support the execution of social strategy across relevant social platforms. Supports social integration across marketing channels and integrated promotions to reach target consumers. Monitors and maximizes content and community performance, application of emerging social trends and competitive landscape. The role is key in building relationships and engagement with consumers and building ID brand presence across social media.


  • Develop and implement content calendar that supports brand objectives, and social media strategy. Manage and oversee social communications ensuring superior quality and on time project delivery at all times
  • Develop and publish best-in-class content across multiple social platforms that is consumer-centered, insight driven, engaging and developed per social channel specifications; maintain production schedules for content delivery, ensuring on-time execution, cross-functional representation and content approval
  • Coordinate the planning of social media campaigns with key stakeholders.  Identify real time marketing opportunities
  • Monitor and manage social community conversation as a brand advocate, across multiple social platforms. Manage and develop brand voice, engage community, answer questions, seed and share content, engage related brands and influencers etc
  • Execute social media promotions and support integrated marketing campaigns through content development, community messaging and support, paid social media development, influencer outreach, real time optimization etc
  • Support social media training development for WhiteWave Foods
  • Lead and maintain current social media tools performance and implementation for monitoring, community management and content publication
  • Influencer program development support, execution, influencer engagement relationship building and program reporting
  • Work closely with cross-functional team to manage brand communication, consumer support, campaign integration, issues management
  • Support social reporting and analyze reports to identify insights and opportunities. Implement recommendations for continued evolution and optimization of social performance
  • Build consumer, partner, supporter and influencer advocates by managing and creating new opportunities for engagement on the social networks. Test and report on successful engagement
  • Monitor competitive and social landscape for memes, emerging trends, tools, applications, platform adoption, and target consumer behavior. Report and recommend relevant opportunities
  • Support development and publishing of paid social media campaigns 

Job Requirements:

Education and Experience: 

  • Minimum 3-5 years prior experience managing a variety of social media channels for a brand, including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube, Google+, LinkedIn, Tumblr etc. with proven abilities to build a brand online
  • Blogging experience a plus
  • Experience with social listening tools and dashboards

 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong passion for digital and social marketing; continuing education on social trends, content marketing, community management and emerging platforms
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; editorial skills to identify and create relevant content for brand community; great customer service skills
  • Must have passion for the brands, engaging consumers, and be a social media advocate with a strong understanding of brand, content marketing and integrated marketing channels
  • Ability to build relationships and partner with multiple stakeholders to reach social and brand objectives
  • Superior interpersonal, organizational, time management and team work skills. Must be a strategic thinker and skilled project manager who can envision the future and execute it. Possess marketing savvy to help translate business initiatives into consumer-facing language and action
  • Must be able to perform in a fast paced environment, multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Ability to analyze social data and trends, and draw relevant conclusions and apply optimizations
  • Skilled in PowerPoint, Excel and budget organization
  • Looking for an organized, self-directed, motivated individual who is self-directed and can take control of the full social media, content marketing and community management infrastructure
  •  Exhibit sound judgment to determine potential crises and ability to determine need to elevate within the organization
