Effectively manage all associates on a daily basis to ensure that production/processing requirements (to include all blending and process are met in the safest, most cost-effective manner.&nbsp;<br />
PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to:</div>
Manage and direct all associates in the processing of our products.<br />
Ensure all employees comply with company policies including safety, quality, sanitation, and good manufacturing practices.<br />
Schedule associates to provide adequate staffing on all shifts.<br />
Responsible for the blending and processing to production&rsquo;s schedule on a daily basis.<br />
Plan and project blend and batching needs and schedules based on forecasts.<br />
Maintain familiarity with all blending and processing equipment to include knowledge of equipment versatility and time associated with necessary procedures to minimize negative impacts to production.<br />
Participate in capital projects associated to the processing area, making recommendations to engineering and proactively researching and presenting upgrade needs and solutions to the engineering and leadership team.<br />
Work with the quality team &amp; regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with all regulations.<br />
Build &amp; maintain relationships &amp; lines of communication between all levels of the organization.<br />
Coordinate related activities with maintenance, purchasing, and quality assurance to ensure the operation runs efficiently and in compliance with company, state and federal standards and regulations.<br />
Prepare and maintain company budget for processing area.<br />
Proactively facilitate plant continuous improvement efforts and actively support and encourage employee engagement.<br />
Ensure company policy, work rules, and bargaining agreement provisions are followed.<br />
Create, install and audit adherence to standard operating procedures.<br />
Assist in training, evaluation, coaching and application of progressive discipline of associates.<br />
Actively support the company&rsquo;s Affirmative Action program.

<em>Educational/Experience Level:</em><br />
Minimum of five years hands•on experience in a food or beverage manufacturing, preferably with UHT or Aseptic dairy products.<br />
Thorough understanding of regulatory laws and responsibilities as they pertain to HTST, UHT, HACCP, Aseptic processing &amp; filling, and general facility standards.<br />
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Controls or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent of education and experience.<br />

Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.<br />
Ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization.<br />
Strong leadership skills.<br />
Team orientation.<br />
Ability to mentor and develop productive staff.<br />
Basic understanding of budgeting and cost control.&nbsp;<br />
