JOB SUMMARY: Types and assembles commercial and farm policies for distribution to agents and insureds.  Reviews and orders Motor Vehicle Report’s, Property Inspections, Loss Runs, and Dunn & Bradstreet Reports.  Entry and cancellations of trucker filings.  Creates and assembles certified policies for distribution to Claims department for legal purposes.  Creates and maintains certified tracking spreadsheet for mailing verification of certified policies.
           
 
A.  ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
 
 

  1. Maintains a positive customer relationship by exhibiting a courteous and professional

demeanor.
 

  1. Takes initiative and works with peers to assure service levels are met.
  2. Prioritizes work, solve problems, and manages time efficiently.
  3. Communicates with Commercial Processor and/or Underwriter to verify information. 
  4. Actively engages in development and performance feedback discussions.
  5. Maintains a working knowledge of company mainframe, intranet, internet systems, and third party vendors to access, navigate and document information required for policy change.
  6.  Types, assembles and sorts multiple P&C forms and policies for distribution internally and externally. 
  7. Types, assembles, sorts and distributes cancellations and non-renewals on a priority basis.  Maintains a working knowledge of state regulations and verifies that proper procedures are followed.
  8. Reviews Driver’s Lists and orders MVR’s on commercial business.
  9. Orders Property Inspections for BOP policies.
  10. Orders Dunn & Bradstreet Reports on commercial business
  11. Orders Loss Run Reports on commercial business
  12. Entry of trucker filings and cancellations – knowledge of guidelines
  13. Accesses the 5.3 system to create history decs and printed forms necessary to create a certified copy of a policy for claims litigation.  Verifies the accuracy of copy with the current and sub module as shown on the 5.3 system.
  14. Order supplies and maintains Commercial Services supply cabinets.
  15. Performs other duties as assigned.

 
B.  JOB SPECIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATION/EDUCATION:
 
Required:
 
 

  1. High School diploma or GED
  2. Excellent data entry skills
  3. Good communication and organizational skills
  4. Time Management
  5. Customer Services skills
  6. Basic operating knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office and Outlook

 
 
 
Preferred:
 
C. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
 

  • Ability to operate a personal computer and other office machines
  • Ability to distribute material.
  • Ability to communicate via different modes ( telephone, memo, fax, email etc)
  • Ability to physically move files lifting a maximum of 10 lbs on any one occasion
