JOB SUMMARY:     This position will be responsible for the leadership of all golf programing, tee time management, and cart barn operations.  The assistant professional must have the ability to actively manage all aspects of human capital in area of responsibility.  This position is accountable for a safe working environment for all employees, members, and guests.  The assistant professional needs to remain current with industry trends and competitive market analysis.  This position is accountable for supporting and maintaining a highly engaged work environment.  Responsible for maintaining Westfield quality and ethical standards set by the Westfield Group.

  1. Provides immediate attention to all members and guests in accordance to the Westfield Group Hospitality standards.
  2. Oversees tee time management and golfer registration standard operating procedures.
  3. Assists Head Golf Professional in human capital management process which includes attraction and retention of quality staff, employee development, performance and compensation management for golf operations and cart barn staff.
  4. Oversees development, implementation and follow-up of staff training and safety programs.
  5. Demonstrates effective time management for business unit and department responsibilities as Assistant Golf Professional.
  6. Provides leadership in accordance with corporate hospitality vision, goals, and guiding principles.
  7. Displays a duty of care to guests and team members by following Westfield Group safety guidelines and informing others of policy and procedures.
  8. Responsible for all equipment and repairs including but not limited to golf clubs and carts.
  9. Collaborate with Merchandise Manager on the purchase and delivery for club fitting and hard goods.
  10. Collaborate with Merchandise Manager on the scheduling of Golf Operations Staff
  11. Assist in planning and co-ordination of corporate golf events. Attend meetings as required.
  12. Responsible for all administration and promotion Country Club events: Men’s Association, Women’s 18 hole and Women’s 9 hole Associations, Men’s Wednesday Night League, Women’s Thursday Night League, Corporate League, and Junior Golf Program.
  13. Leads in the development of all teaching programs including junior golf, group, private, and corporate lessons.
  14. Actively participates in club member engagement programs including playing golf with members/guests of all skill levels, golf, and social events.
  15. Perform other duties as required by business unit leadership.
  1. High School diploma or GED
  2. “Class A” Member of the PGA
  3. Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and lead all levels of staff.
  4. Working knowledge of Point of Sale system, property management system and Microsoft Office software (Publisher, Excel, Word, PP, and Outlook)
  5. Strong verbal communication skills
  6. Organizational skills
  7. Valid driver’s license and a driving record that complies with company standards
