Description:  Performs all tasks associated with the operation of company’s networks’ middleware assets, including product installation, configuration and deployment of Java EE applications, connecting to back-end resources, integrating all company applications, troubleshooting for integration and deployment of applications into company’s environment, and monitoring platforms’ stability. Prepares detailed technical documentation of middleware environments.  Monitors systems to ensure compliance with customer business expectations and recommends mitigation strategies.  Utilizes WebSphere MQ, Message Broker, Websphere Application Server (WAS), and Services Gateway environments, and a variety of operating systems including, but not limited to, AIX, Unix, Linux on Intel, Linux on zSeries, and z/OS and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) concepts, network concepts, JEE, web services, and standard markup languages such as TCP/IP, SSL, EJBs, JSP, HTTP(s), JMS, XML, SOAP, WSDL, and XSLT. 


Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or other related field or equivalent foreign degree.
  • 5 years of experience as computer systems engineer, computer analyst, or related occupation.
  • Experience must include applications and systems architectural design, installation and administration of middleware technologies, including WebSphere MQ, failover mechanisms using clustering concepts, WAS, Message Broker, and business integration adapters, and the use of UNIX operation systems.
  • Demonstrated competency in component and service placement, design for overall performance and availability, develop infrastructure component specifications, design business architecture, and design technical architecture.
  • Requires 24 hour on-call availability on a rotating schedule.
