Learning Portfolio Manager – Westfield Center, OH

Description: Oversees and manages Westfield University’s (WU) learning portfolio from an Enterprise point-of-view.    Focuses on areas such as instructional design soundness, vendor alliances, communication, learning outcomes, customer relationships and value, integration among projects, and learning and process governance.  Serves as escalation point for issues and involves appropriate stakeholders to drive resolution in a timely fashion.

Requirements: The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor Degree in related field and six (6) years of professional work experience OR ten (10) years of combined experience in Learning & Development, Learning Project or Portfolio Management, or Instructional Design.  Experience related to adult learning methodologies, instructional design, and development and implementation are also required.   Good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.  Excellent computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.  Must have a valid driver’s license, a driving record that meets company standards, and the ability to travel as needed.

Job Duties (not an all inclusive list): Monitors the health of the portfolio through process effectiveness and efficiency metrics.  Provides organizational learning overview through operational reporting.  Builds and manages key relationships with the WU Leadership Team, strategic learning partners, learning project manager, and/or other leaders and decision-makers within WU and the organization to establish expectations and open lines of communication.  Removes barriers and helps to facilitate the change process associated with portfolio management.  Evolves processes to maximize vendor partnerships and routinely consults with Learning Ops Leader and Learning Project Manager to drive adherence and continuous improvement methods.  Manages the maintenance and catalog process for all learning portfolio assets and ensures that all assets are reviewed as defined by business needs. Performs other functions as assigned and actively participates in special projects as assigned.
