Our IT Application Development team is looking for the right candidate to join our team as a Business Systems Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for eliciting, analyzing, validating, documenting & maintaining business requirements. In addition, Business Systems Analysts are responsible for managing clarifications between teams, managing requirements within management tools, ensuring requirement discipline is leveraged by other SDLC disciplines and assisting the business with developing or modifying existing business processes. Your primary measure of success will be on how you assist business clients with communicating their needs to IT.

To Qualify:
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred in Information Technology, Business or Communications) OR equivalent work experience as a BSA.
  • 3 + years of experience in Business or Systems Analysis.
  • Ability to analyze business problems and craft a selection of potential solutions. 
  • Ability to estimate the costs/benefits of potential solutions and to fully assess the technical and process interdependencies and efficiencies in each.
  • Ability to advise business leadership and guide them through technical decision-making processes. 
  • Proficiency in oral and written communication.
  • Ability to learn quickly, move with agility between assignments, multi-task, and to take appropriate initiative within a team environment.
  • Persistent customer focus, perseverance and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and produce results in a fast-paced and highly technical environment.
Preferred:
  • Property/Casualty (P/C) Insurance or product specific knowledge.
  • Experience executing any role within the SDLC (including application developer, tester or project manager).
  • Expertise in eliciting and managing requirements, use cases, business cases and/or other BSA artifacts.
  • Familiarity or experience with requirements modeling within an agile development lifecycle. 
  • Experience with enterprise requirements management tools (Caliber preferred).
