Our Government Relations business unit is looking for the right candidate to join our team as a Regional Government Relations Manager. In this role, you will be represent Westfield Group in a wide range of legislative, regulatory, and public affairs at the state level, such as:  supporting  political action committees and grassroots programs by identifying key legislative and regulatory issues to relevant business unit executives.  You will provide state-specific counsel to internal business operating units and develops strategies for promoting and advancing legislation and regulation favorable to Westfield Group, affiliated companies, agents, and policyholders.  You will advance favorable regulatory environment and work to eliminate statutory barriers to corporate plan as well as be accountable for compliance and ethics for all PAC and lobbyist activities. 
To Qualify:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college.
  • Eligible for Lobbyist licensure in OH and all other operating states as needed.
  • Able to commit to 70% travel.
  • 10+ years’ experience in the insurance business, claims, underwriting, marketing or staff background
  • Attained a law degree with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in law, and
  • Completed 7 years’ insurance experience and attained the CPCU or CLU, and
  • Worked as, or served as an aide for, a state or federal legislator for a minimum of 2 years, and
  • Worked as a lobbyist for a minimum of 2 years, and
