Field Property Claims Representative
Based in our St. Charles, IL Claims Office
The person in this position will perform claim investigations and analyses and determine whether proper coverage exists. You will thoroughly research the facts of the claim and the liability involved; make personal contact with all relevant parties; determine the value of the damages and obtain support documentation; establish and review proper reserves for each claim; and maintain thorough status reports for all claims. Candidate will also negotiate timely settlements with insureds, vendors, and other insurance companies.
Qualified candidates will have Associate Degree and two years equivalent property claims adjusting/industry related experience or four years property claims adjusting/industry related experience. The Representative must be be proficient with Xactimate, posess good construction knowledge and be able to demonstrate strong customer service skills. Excellent communication skills and solid computer knowledge are required. Must have a valid driver’s license, a driving record that meets Company standards, the ability to travel, and the physical dexterity to inspect damaged property.
