SUPERVISOR OF SHUTTLE OPERATIONS SHIFT

Assigns, directs, and coordinates the work of shuttle and cart drivers on an assigned shift. Drives Viejas shuttle bus on a scheduled route to transport guests, team members, or others between the parking areas and the casino. May transport guests, team members, and others between local hotels, the airport, and other off-site locations and Viejas properties, including the casino, VOC, Matarawa, Alpine Springs, the Education Center, and Tribal Hall. Follows all California Vehicle Laws.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the day-to-day operations of an assigned shift including, but not limited to, assigning, directing and coordinating the work of shuttle and cart drivers; and maintaining/updating electronic pass down log.
Ensures drivers are driving safely, calling stations, and providing excellent guest service; resolves problems with scheduling, equipment, or other issues encountered or refers to management as needed; and assists with on the job training of department staff.
Performs a variety of administrative functions for the department, including coordinating and verifying special trips, pick-ups, and drop offs; and maintaining daily shift logs.
Drives Viejas shuttle bus on a scheduled route to transport guests, team members, or others between the parking areas and the casino.
May transport guests, team members, and others between local hotels, the airport, and other off-site locations and Viejas properties, including the casino, VOC, Matarawa, Alpine Springs, the Education Center, and Tribal Hall.
Operates two-way radio to communicate with base station or other vehicles.
Assists disabled passengers into and out of the vehicle. Secures passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trip.
Knows all parking lot entrances and exits and provides guests with directions as needed.
Knows the local highway and freeway systems and provides guests and others with directions as needed.
Follows all California Vehicle Laws.
Informs Maintenance or Security Department when guests need assistance in the parking lot, such as jump starts, lock outs, or flat tires.
Practices Viejas Guest Service standards while performing job duties and responsibilities.
Performs all related and compatible duties as assigned.
Assists with supervising cart and shuttle drivers. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include interviewing and training team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Valid Commercial Driver's License with a Passenger Endorsement is required.
Valid Medical Certificate, including the date of the physical and expiration date of the certificate.
Supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
Required to possess and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
Thorough knowledge of driving/roadway laws and regulations.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills.
Ability to work with diverse cultures and backgrounds.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
Basic mathematical skills, such as the ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
