Job Description:
Core Scope  
  • Guest Service– Spends a minimum of 90% of time on the floor interacting with guests and coaching associates. Ensures that FB team members provide every guest with fast, friendly and timely service. Visits every guest at every table during shift to ensure service and food quality meet the expectations of the guests and that issues are resolved prior to the guest departing the outlet. Investigates and resolves guest complaints about food quality and service in a timely fashion.Reinforces guest service skills taught in New Hire Orientation. Monitors guest service and staff performance by soliciting guests’ feedback through direct interaction and comment cards.
  • Supervision of Staff – Uses progressive discipline policy to provide verbal and written warnings in regards to departmental policies. Prepares weekly work schedules for assigned shift based on daily volume and business and budgeted labor percentages as necessary. Ensures all team member call-ins are logged per attendance policy and recommends action taken.
  • Health, Safety and Compliance– Ensures that all workers are in compliance with health and safety standards and regulations. Ensures that all food and beverage products served meet the established standards and ensures temperature logs are completed and filed every shift as applicable. Ensures that all service equipment is handled safely and with reasonable care, reporting mechanical problems to the proper department for repair. Ensures the POS cash registers are maintained and closed out at the designated times as well as back up kits are in place for use during power outages. Ensures that proper security measures are taken for safekeeping of funds to and from the casino vault. Maintains a neat, clean, organized, safe and comfortable work environment for the staff and guests at all times.
  • General Office and Other Projects– Completes required computer assisted training in a timely manner. Organizes and holds frequent staff meetings to ensure team members are up to date on all special events, promotions, programs, and activities.  Consistently communicates property information with check points established to confirm understanding. Maintains effective communication and feedback with departmental staff.  Enforces all appearance and uniform guidelines. Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results may cause delays in schedules, loss of assets/money, or guests.

  • Frequently interacts with subordinate supervisors and functional peer groups. Interaction normally requires the ability to gain corporation of others, conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects or schedules.
Supervision Provides immediate supervision to servers, hosts/hostesses, bussers, bartenders, cocktail servers, and barbacks as assigned. 
Education/ Certification
  • High school diploma or GED certificate required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a non-gaming license at the key employee level.
  • Food Handler’s card, Alcohol Service card, and Training in Intervention and Prevention (TIPS) Certificate must be obtained within 90 days of employment and maintained every three years.
  • Must have two (2) years experience in restaurant or food service capacity.
  • Prior supervisory experience required.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Ability to supervise and direct the work of team members.
  • Ability to exercise sound personnel management practices while illustrating firm dispositions in dealing with team member issues.
  • Exhibiting a strong motivational commitment to the organization.
  • Ability to write and prepare standard reports and documents.
  • Knowledge of buffet line operating requirements.
  • Knowledge of minimum temperature requirements for food/drink preservation.
  • Knowledge of casino purchasing requirements for food/drink preservation.
  • Knowledge of Tribal, Federal, State and local sanitary regulations regarding the preparation, maintenance, storage and sales of food/drink products.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule according to business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
