Job Description:
  • Leading Landscape Maintenance Team
    • Plans and manages landscape operations including turf maintenance such as refuse/trash pick-up, irrigation systems repair and performs equipment repair.
    • Reviews and evaluates landscape team and their work; makes decisions and recommendation on personnel actions such as employment, promotion, demotion, retention and other matters.
  • Developing and Maintaining Budgets
    • Researches the usefulness and cost effectiveness of new equipment and products.
    • Approves the requisitioning of equipment and supplies.
    • Evaluates organization, operations, and maintenance services and makes recommendations to improve quality.
  • Guest Service
    • Responds to and resolves internal and external guests’ complaints in a timely manner.
    • Maintains and coordinates effective working relationships with staff.
    • Maintains knowledge of company information and promotions to answer guest inquiries.
  • General Office and Special Projects
    • Enforces operating procedures and work standards to ensure adequate performance and personnel safety.
    • Evaluates policy and procedure for operations and makes recommendations for changes.
    • Supports planning and development of new and existing facilities by developing landscape maintenance requirements; reviews plans and monitors construction processes.
    • Performs other duties as assigned. 

  • Establishes operational objectives, workplans, and delegates assignments to subordinate managers/supervisors.
  • Assists in developing, modifying and executing company policies thataffect immediate operations and may also have company-wide effect.
  • Implements strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.

  • Works on issues where analysis of situation or data requires in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives.
  • Erroneous decisions will result in critical delay(s) in schedules and or unit operations and may jeopardize overall business activities.
  • Interacts with internal and external guests.
  • Regularly interacts with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers.

  • Manages the landscape maintenance team, with responsibility for results, including costs, methods and staffing. 
  • Provides guidance to team members to achieve goals in accordance with established policies. Work is reviewed and measured based on meeting objectives and schedules.
Job Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associates/Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Pesticide Application and Arborist Certification is highly desired.
  • California Driver’s License.

  • 8 to 10 years of related experience in supervising grounds crews at commercial sites.
  • Management/leadership experience required
