Performs layouts, construction, installations, remodeling, inspections, and maintenance and repairs to foundations, floors, subfloors, floor coverings, sound proofing, linoleum, ceramic tile, floor tile, decking, and similar parts.
Performs layouts, construction, installations, remodeling, inspections, and maintenance and repairs to concrete and surface work; forms material, pours (footer, stem, slab or monolithic) screens, vibrates, jitterbugs, floats, and trowels. Maintains and performs necessary repairs to stucco, drywall, plaster, tile sidewalks, stairs, and similar structures.
Performs layouts, construction, installations, remodeling, inspections, and maintenance and repairs to framing, structural woodwork, box framing, stud framing, balloon framing of walls (full, parapet, pony, half, dropped, grid, T-bar), roofs, rafters, decking, coverings (shingles, asphalt or coal tar, closed cell), fences, and gates.
Performs layouts, construction, installations, remodeling, inspections, and maintenance and repairs to finish carpentry, including various types of doors, windows and jams, stairs, interior walls and ceilings, wood or metal studs, drywall, plaster, tile, and plywood panels.
Performs layouts, construction, installations, remodeling, inspections, and maintenance and repairs to base cabinets, wall cabinets and countertops (institutional and residential); utilizes proper jointery methods (i.e., dove tails, rabbets, blind rabbet, glue joints, lap joints, tongue and groove, drawer joints, mortise and tenon, mitered/compound mitered joints, framing joints, hanging and shutter joints).
Inspects buildings, facilities and equipment and makes recommendations for repairs to supervisor.
Assists with estimating, material takeoffs, project specifications, and maintaining files of specifications, blueprints and diagrams generated from field investigations.
Assists with updating as-built drawings.
9. Provides top quality guest service and demonstrates established guest service orientation.
10. Performs all related and compatible duties as assigned.
Completion of an apprenticeship program by an accredited educational facility.
Experience working in a residential, commercial and/or industrial construction.
Journey level skill in construction, maintenance, and repair procedures, including preventative maintenance, breakdown repair and trouble-shooting, construction, installation and fabrication techniques typical in the trade.
Knowledge of proper use and maintenance of hand and power tools related to job functions.
Strong demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints and system diagrams.
Knowledge of building codes, rules, and regulations.
Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment.
Valid California driver's license preferred.
