Acts as public relations representative for the restaurant, responsible for establishing a warm and inviting environment for our guests. Works primarily in the fine dining rooms, assisting management and other Team Members with serving guests and keeping the dining room clean and set, and bus areas clean and stocked.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITITES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assists the server by communicating effectively with guests in the fine dining environment.
Resets tables following the Grove Standards which includes de-crumbing and removing debris from tables, chairs and floor area.
Continuously maintains and cleans all service areas.
Responsible for heavy stocking of necessary products.
Delivers and empties full bus carts to appropriate dishing area.
Separates all dishware, flatware, and glassware as designated by Department standards.
Polishes all dishware, flatware and glassware as designated by Department standards.
Acts as server assistant with table maintenance.
Boxes guest’s take home food.
Understands and practices good safety and sanitation procedures.
Follows fine dining procedures and meets guest service standards.
Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
2-3 years of restaurant service experience
Knowledge of fine dining operations with Front of the House service experience
Basic English communication skills (comprehend & converse)
Ability to multi-task and must maintain high personal grooming standards
Ability to work in a fast paced, high activity environmentwith positive and controlled energy
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to articulate ideas with internal and external guests clearly and with diplomacy and grace. Ability to project an approachable, engaging and accommodating demeanor towards all guests.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables to enact and ensure favorable results.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers.
