Average Hours per Week:
The primary responsibility of the Housekeeper is to service assigned guest suites to ensure highest standards of cleanliness & service. The Housekeeper is responsible for reporting any maintenance deficiencies & handling guest requests or complaints. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Casino Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures.
Provides unmatched service to guests at all times.
Provides accurate directions and information for guest inquiries and is knowledgeable about all aspects of the Venetian Casino Resort services, features, attractions, promotions and special events.
Cleans guest suites by category priority.
Transports cart with cleaning supplies, amenities and linens to assigned guest suite and position securely, always blocking entrance to suite.
Monitors & maintains cleanliness, sanitation & organization of assigned work areas.
Uses correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces, according to OSHA regulations & hotel requirements.
Removes soil, dirt, soap build-up and hair from bathroom mirrors, vanity, sink, toilet, shower walls, bathtub, shower curtain & floor.
Replaces facial, toilet tissue & bathroom amenities in correct amount & location. Inspect condition of bathrobes & replaces soiled/damaged ones, and performs job functions with attention to detail, speed & accuracy, understand guest’s service needs.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Employment Requirements:
18 years of age. Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States, High School Diploma or equivalent, ability to communicate effectively in a positive/upbeat fashion utilizing English; both in oral and written form, interpersonal skills with focused attention to guest needs to deal effectively with all business contacts, maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to VCR appearance standards, maintain consistent adherence to the VCR Unmatched Guest Service Standards, work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Must possess or be able to obtain a valid
from the Clark County Health District.
Specific Position Requirements:
6 months experience as a Housekeeper at a four star property is preferred. Must have ability to lift up to 50lbs, push up to 300 lbs. (fully loaded maid cart). Must be able to use sight to perform job functions and smell to ensure product quality and safety. Must have the ability to operate a commercial vacuum cleaner. Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Physical ability to access all areas of the property. Must be able to withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending and kneeling without restriction, work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to CRT fatigue, noise, dust, cigarette smoke. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment and maintain physical stamina, proper mental attitude while dealing effectively with guests, management, team members, and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
