What You’ll Do:

We are looking to hire an ambitious Marketing Persona Specialist to create, support, and optimize our organization’s digital & content marketing programs. Responsibilities of the Marketing Persona Specialist will include defining and tracking customer and client personas, setting up and tracking of campaign progress, developing digital marketing materials, sourcing images and artwork, updating online assets, and handling general digital marketing activities. You would be in a highly innovative and dynamic role where you are expected to produce engaging digital content including, but not limited to, copy, videos, photos, and graphics designed to enhance the brand of the company. An ideal candidate will be collaborative, creative, well-organized and a strong communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, challenging, start-up environment. 

  • Lead the research and development of customer and client personas to support the product, sales, and marketing teams’ projects and campaigns 
  • Work closely with the sales team to develop strong personas and maintain channels of communication 
  • Be the go-to person for information about our target audiences 
  • Designing questionnaires and discussion guides, surveys, and conducting focus groups or 1:1 interviews to support persona development
  • Analyze and report on the performance and efficiency of campaigns towards targeted audiences
  • Nurture programs across all stages of marketing funnel from lead sourcing, to inquiries, to engagement, to closed opportunities, and retention 
  • Help to maintain the email “campaign calendar” and facilitate content production, coordination with stakeholders, and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Help build, test, launch, report, and analyze automated campaigns based on the personas developed in various stages of the life cycle, advising members of the marketing team on best practices for engaging with specific audiences 
  • Increase campaign performance by optimizing for each persona the subject lines, call-to-action (CTA), open rates, click–through rates, and conversion rates 
  • Assist with the content design, execution, and maintenance of the company’s presence on social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, affiliate blogs, and others 

 

What We’re Looking For:

Education 

  • Bachelor’s degree, with a Major in Communication, Marketing, Advertising or related field; or equivalent combination of relevant professional experience and education.

Experience

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in marketing and operations 
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in content creation and published materials 

Skills/Certifications 

  • Knowledge of email and marketing automation processes preferred 
  • Knowledge of SEO principles 
  • High sense of urgency and entrepreneurial work ethic to drive business outcomes 
  • Must be flexible, willing to change direction if needed—even multiple times 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment 
  • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks 
  • Ability to initiate collaboration and find solutions for unstructured problems 
  • Excellent analytical skills and an interest in reporting and data analysis 
  • Team player - excellent communication skills to work with colleagues across a rapidly growing company 
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and flawless execution 
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction while also functioning and contributing as part of a team 
  • Ability to assist with managing visual appearance, updates, and content of the company website
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Cloud and WordPress is a plus 
  • A command of the English language—proficient grammar in copywriting and excellent communication skills

Work Environment: This job operates in a normal professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines, and filing cabinets.  

Physical Requirements: while performing the duties of this job the employee must have the ability to communicate or exchange information; also, the employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as viewing a computer, expansive reading, or preparing and analyzing data, reports and figures.
