MAJOR JOB DUTIES:
Duties include, but are not limited, to the following:
•Develops media concepts, often in partnership with the brand team.
•Serves as daily liaison to media agency, and maintains up to date status of all media related projects.
•Coordination of local, regional and national advertising and media plans – including traditional buys, integration buys and added-value opportunities.
•Develop and manage Sales advertising plans; including group sales, leisure sales and small groups and occasions.
•Management of competitive media reporting.
•Responsible for managing media billing, accruals and forecasts in partnership with the Vice President of Marketing.
•Presents ideas to colleagues and management.
•Remain up-to-date on casino products/services, target audience and competitors’ activities.
•Helps write and edit clear, persuasive, original copy.
•Updates digital media with snappy, timely content.
•Streamlines social media projects.
•Proofreads copy to check spelling and grammar.
•Assists Vice President of Marketing in ad placement.
•Create and format spreadsheets and power point presentations
•Assists in campaign management through the production stage to completion.
•Works on several projects at once, sometimes under pressure and often to tight deadlines.
•Acts as a liaison with production companies, photographers, typographers, designers, agencies and printers.
•Work with offsite vendors to meet print deadlines
•Keeps up to date with popular culture and trends.
•Monitoring the effectiveness of advertising/media campaigns.
•Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals and other related documents.
•Must be able to read and manage media flowcharts, schedules and buys; inclusive of having a broad understanding of target indexes, station rankers, day part mixes, CPP,GRPs and Arbitron ratings/demographic analysis.
•Ability to write and edit effective copy. Ability to respond to inquiries from Co-Stars or guests.
•Ability to create and format spreadsheets.
•Ability to meet deadlines.
•Understanding of graphic design and working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
•Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one, small group, and large group situations.
•Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English.
•Ability to do basic math.
•Ability to apply reasoning to variety of situations.
•Full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules, policies and procedures.
•Must possess excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
•Complete understanding of marketing initiatives for web and social media.
•Proven ability to handle priority and sensitive information in a confidential manner.
•Proven experience working in an organized, methodical, and detailed oriented environment required.
Minimum of three (3) years in Marketing/Advertising/Media or related area. Must be extremely people oriented and computer literate in all Microsoft Office Suite products and applicable software.
Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising, Marketing or related area from a four year college or university; or four years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
