JOB DESCRIPTION:
Are you a detail-oriented person who thrives in a bustling center of activity?  As a Record Retention Clerk, you will juggle multiple responsibilities to execute the finer details of our complex business.  Your accommodating personality and ability to balance the needs of several parties will be a welcome support, fundamental to the smooth, seamless functioning of The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
MAJOR JOB DUTIES: 
Duties include, but are not limited, to the following:
  • Maintains accounting records.
  • Compiles and sorts documents by revenue center.
  • Enters information into retention/retrieval system in a logical and organized manner.
  • Prepares and maintains a master record of stored data
  • Utilizes knowledge of systems or procedures.
  • Copies data and assists departments with record and storage questions.
  • Destroys obsolete and unnecessary records as requested.
  • Assists other areas within finance as needed.
  • Maintains operating record retention system, computer and copier.
  • Interprets policies and procedures established by management.
  • Attends regularly scheduled departmental meetings to facilitate the flow of information throughout the property.


SKILLS:  

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Must have basic computer knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must be responsible, flexible and highly motivated individual.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with excellent follow-through to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to interact with many different personalities.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as source document
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all unites of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
EXPERIENCE: 
Must possess excellent communication skills and be computer-literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
 
EDUCATION: 
High School diploma or GED required.  Some college preferred.
 
CERTIFICATE/LICENSE: 
As Required.
