Job Title:   Infrastructure Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
(Note: Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at the sole discretion of Sycuan Management at any time)
  1. Supports enterprise structured cabling infrastructure by implementing, maintaining, monitoring, patching, terminating, and testing Ethernet, Fiber Optic, Patch Panels, Analog, Audio/Video, Telecomm, APC, network racks, cabinets, and enclosures, and documenting cabling infrastructure according to industry best practices and National Electric Code (NFPA 70). - 50%
  2. Provides technical support for computer hardware and software by answering incoming help desk phone calls, providing personal service to computer users, installing PC hardware and software, configuring PC workstations and troubleshooting system failures. - 40%
  3. Assists IT Operations Manager by completing special projects as assigned. - 10%
Skills and Knowledge:
Essential:
  • Proficiency in enterprise grade structured cabling systems, best practices, regulations, and procedures
  • Working knowledge of advanced PC hardware and software installation, troubleshooting, and diagnostic techniques
  • Working knowledge of advanced Microsoft Office troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques
  • Working knowledge of intermediate to advanced network connectivity practices, routing, and switching terminology, and interconnectivity solutions
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory service and support functions, account creation, group assignment, account suspension, and password changes
  • Working knowledge of local and network printing services, connectivity, hardware maintenance, driver installation, and industry standard troubleshooting skills
  • Working knowledge of Client/Server application deployment and best practices
  • Working knowledge of telecom (phone) service and support practices, voicemail creation, and maintenance techniques
  • Ability to effectively communicate problems, resolutions, and instructions to non-IT personnel
  • Ability to interact effectively with a diverse team member population
  • Excellent guest service skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in the English language
  • Ability to present complex concepts in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and objectivity
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and composure

Education and Experience:
Essential:
  • BICSI ITS Certification in good standing
  • CompTIA A+/N+ Certification, or 4 years of IT support experience, or an Associate's Degree in IT or related field
Desirable:
  • Information Technology experience in a casino or gaming environment
  • Supervisory or project management experience
