Cage Coordinator

Summary:

Provide administrative support and project coordination to the Director of Cage and Credit as well as Corporate Cage Operations. Coordinate and review credit requests, credit extensions and collection efforts at all properties.

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate assigned projects to ensure deadlines are met, and projects are organized.
  • Responsible for all written correspondence for the Cage department from rough drafts, editing grammar, punctuation or spelling as needed.
  • Author updates to new and modified operating standards
  • Train departmental trainers on new and modified operating standards and maintain accurate training and succession files for the Cage department
  • Interview departmental managers and review operations to ensure compliance of all standard and consolidated documentation
  • Report standard of procedure discrepancies to the Director of Cage and Credit
  • Responsible for the day-to-day administrative duties for the Cage department to include data entry, scheduling of meetings, creation of reports, prioritizing of incoming mail, relaying messages and filing
  • Review the property coordinators and managers credit input to verify accuracy and adherence to policy
  • Travel 10% of each month between various properties
  • Cover as needed and reporting to work at the specific property to provide support, and process work according to Credit Coordinator standards
  • Assist property coordinators with daily credit and collection work as assigned
  • Order and track the usage of supplies for the cage operations
  • Provide outstanding customer service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow employees
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • 2 years of previous cage or credit experience
  • 1 year previous administrative assistant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Able to analyze and assist with new software and hardware installs, and provide training to the cage department
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals 
  • Able to write routine reports and correspondence 
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations 
  • Abiity to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to type accurately and efficiently from rough draft and machine transcriptions or personal dictation, involving standard business vocabulary or limited range of specialized, recurrent terminology, using common word processing programs
  • Advanced computer skills (experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Bachelor degree or Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
  • Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
  • Verify right to work in the United States

  • Occasionally push/pull up to 15 lbs.

  • Constant use of hearing and vision, distinguish between shades of color, and use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity
