Web Developer Manager $500 Signing Bonus

Summary: Responsible for the overall development and management of the company websites and mobile applications. Oversees web projects with other Analysts, Engineers, Managers and Operations teams to develop innovative solutions that meet market needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, realistic implementation schedules, system architecture, and adherence to development goals and principles.

 

 

Essential Functions:

  • Demonstrated ability to manage web team & processes. Provide excellent management and leadership and work collaboratively with staff, management, clients and IT support.
  • Work collaboratively with internal content managers, editors, designers, developers and other staff to ensure sites meet both client and business needs, align with brand strategy and meet required web standards.
  • Responsible for the hiring, training, supervising, developing, and disciplining of departmental staff.
  • Works with creative agency and property teams for site designs and deployment
  • Responsible for assisting the design and development of web pages, graphics, and overall UX.
  • Monitors performance and results of the company websites and mobile applications; provides recommendations to improve user experience and overall results.
  • Develops site content in conjunction with the creative team.
  • Assists with development of site navigation to improve user experience and increase conversions.
  • Assist other divisions and departments with the company, when necessary, to help resolve web related crisis situations.
  • Define, design, and implement, multi-tier object-oriented distributed software applications.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in design trends, web usability, web design and business/industry trends.
  • Responsible for management of company domain names.
  • Demonstrates creative, technical and analytical skills.
  • Prepares site by installing and configuring server software; installing programming language using authoring and formatting tools; ensuring cross-platform compatibility; establishing links.
  • Fluent in development optimization techniques to deliver the best user experiences with highest efficiency and conversion rates.
  • Responsible for meeting expectations and deliverables on time and in high quality.
  • Lead team on other projects as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Three to five years previous experience performing same or similar duties, plus 2 years of management experience of Web team/projects
  • Previous experience in graphics, layout, scripting, programming, as well as development involving compatibility and seamless integration with various technologies, including but not limited to, HTML5, Java and PHP.
  • Strong understanding of navigation and GUI for maximizing usability.
  • Front-end and back-end development experience.
  • Proficiency in HTML, XML, CSS, mySQL and PHP. Including cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility.
  • Practical experience in development of JavaScript.
  • Proficiency in graphics creation with Photoshop, Illustrator, (Adobe Creative Suite), multimedia creation with Flash. Practical exposure and/or experience with some or all of the following: Java Server Pages and Java, Oracle, , ColdFusion Server, CFML, CFScript, IIS, Windows Server environments.
  • Ability to develop and design digital media marketing material.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both technical and business environments.
  • Previous experience with managing and mentoring a team.
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects as well as regular maintenance issues.
  • Demonstrate ownership by managing time wisely, being proactive regarding due dates and redistributing tasks implemented creative solutions to meet project goals.
  • Ability to adapt in a high-growth company.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Desire and willingness to work in a collaborative, innovative, flexible and team-oriented environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
