Job Title:   Data Analyst (Part-Time)
Gordon Zeto Center for Global Education

Data Analyst Part-Time

This position provides support in data management and data analysis to the Associate Provost for Global Education in the Gordon-Zeto Center for Global Education.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Data entry of all surveys associated with the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) and its Assessment
  • Tracking, data entry and management of all global travels (semester/summer study abroad, fall break international travel run by the office of Student Affairs and Global Engagement (SAGE), Spring and Summer study-travels, and G-STEM) as well as travel information associated with the College’s Health and Accident Insurance Policy for international travels.
  • Serve as liaison to other entities on Campus: Office of Undergraduate Studies - for first year surveys and senior surveys; Office of Enrollment Management - for collecting pertinent data on international student enrollment; and Division of Student Affairs - for collecting data on SAGE travels.
  • Tracking of data on Internationalization of the Curriculum. All QEP related/Area Studies courses approved by the Associate Provost for Global Education and the Curriculum Committee.
  • Management of database on all Partnership Agreements/MOUs approved by the Associate Provost for Global Education, Provost and the President. Documentation of data regarding the name of partner institution, date agreement was signed, information about contact persons, expiration/renewal year
  • Tracking, extraction, and management of data on Internationalization of the faculty/staff.  Documentation of faculty travel to international conferences, workshops, seminars, research travel, and site visits to International Education Programs.
  • Tracking and management of data on international service learning, international internships, international research, and international conferences attended by students from the international travel authorization form and other sources.
  • Assist the Associate Provost for Global Education in data extraction, variable transformation and definitions, data analysis using SPSS, data interpretation, presentation of results using graphs/tables, and dissemination of results.
  • Perform administrative services as directed by the Associate Provost for Global Education. 

Our ideal candidate profile will include:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree (preferably in the Social Sciences), with at least three years of experience in data entry, data management and data analysis.  Extensive knowledge and experience in using SPSS is required as well as ability to perform advanced computer skills using the Microsoft Office Suite. Experience in creating tables, graphs and PowerPoint Presentations are additional requirements. 
Excellent oral communication skills are required when presenting information and responding to questions from internal and external customers in one-on-one or group situations.  The individual must be able to write business correspondence, revise grant proposals, and compose memos, letters, and e-mails.  They must also be able to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, grant requests for proposals, and procedural manuals. 
The individual must have strong word processing, and database management skills and/or the appropriate aptitude to learn quickly.
