Systems Application Analyst

Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY Support CBO/PPM internal and client users with functional software set up and usage guidance to optimize process efficiency in daily business office and clinic system operations. Provide ongoing, timely and appropriate communication to SMC IT department, Physician Practice Management team and system vendors to resolve system problems and achieve established goals. Serve as project manager to coordinate new systems implementations and application upgrade/support.

Job Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS 3.1 BS in business, IT, or healthcare related field preferred. 3.2 Healthcare business office or financial experience preferred. 3.3 Previous experience with Meditech Client Server is preferred. 3.4 Proficient in use of windows based business and clinical/healthcare software/hardware applications. 3.5 Healthcare experience with medical terminology preferred. 3.6 Must have exceptional critical thinking and analytical thinking skills, business English communication skills. 3.7 Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects and meet deadlines; May work on several implementation at one time 3.8 Project management/coordination experience desired. 3.9 Interest in and enthusiasm for computerization and it’s potential for improving departmental and interdepartmental efficiency as well as improve patient outcomes. 3.10 Possess effective communication skills, assertiveness, leadership skills, effective interaction with peers and upper management, good organizational skills, ability to effectively analyze and problem solve, and ability to listen well to others. 3.11 Ability to positively motivate team members and end users to desired actions in meeting project goals and time frames. 4. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 4.1 Must have good vision or correctable with glasses. 4.2 Must be able to converse with others in person and over the telephone. 4.3 Able to go to any department in the building and to off site locations. 4.4 Manual dexterity is required. 5. JOB RELATIONSHIPS 5.1 Responsible to the Corporate Business Office Director. 5.2 Contributes to department cohesiveness by working cooperatively with other team members. 5.3 Serves as a liaison to physician clinics through system support and daily functional guidance. 5.3 Communicates effectively in a business appropriate manner with internal and external customers to a. Give technical instruction and guidance b. Provide feed back on system and process issues c. Demonstrate errors and teach technical and operational solutions 5.4 Demonstrates a high level of emotional intelligence when responding to and resolving daily problems.
