| 3. QUALIFICATIONS:
3.1 Minimum age of 18 years.
3.2 Completion of a Unit Assistant training course or acceptable patient care experience in a hospital or related health care facility.
3.3 Ability to accurately type 50 words per minute.
3.4 Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
3.5 Ability to function appropriately in stressful situations.
3.6 Possesses basic computer skills.
4. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
4.1 Work is sedentary in nature, with some standing and walking.
4.2 Must have adequate perception of sounds or adequate hearing with corrections.
4.3 Must be able to talk and hear to converse with others, in person, and over the telephone.
4.4 Adequate vision or correctable with glasses, to prepare, process, and read written materials.
4.5 Possess fine motor skills and hand/eye coordination to operate equipment.
4.6 Able to work in latex burdened environment.
5. JOB RELATIONSHIPS:
5.1 Reports to Charge Nurse and Nurse Manager.
5.2 Demonstrates a team approach by working cooperatively with other health care members.
