Location - Retail Department (Food Service & Merchandising) /San Diego Zoo Safari Park
The San Diego Zoo Safari Park is located in San Pasqual Valley near Escondido, California, this adventure offers ZOO Perks which include discounts on food/premium products, free and discounted admission to local attractions, and accrual of vacation and sick time (exception for some grants and Summer Fellowships). 


Positions available - 112 Regular Part-time Union positions without benefits

Attire  - San Diego Zoo Global has a very conservative grooming policy. Tattoos may not be visible or must be appropriately covered while on duty. Jewelry may be worn if it does not detract from a well-groomed look or create a safety hazard. No facial or tongue piercing.


(Union Position)  Hourly Rate - $11.50 - $12.20

Job Requirements Include:

We are looking for dynamic individuals who can provide our guests with an exceptional customer service experience. Requirements include a positive attitude, ability to take initiative, be a team player and have the ability to communicate effectively with guests and co-workers and an eagerness to put your passion for wildlife to work.

**Opportunities for this job posting are for our Retail Operations team. These positions will include working as a Food Service Clerk and/or a Merchandise Sales Clerk.**

Our conservative grooming policy includes:


** Hair color must be of a natural tone and in keeping with a dress policy of moderation.

** Tattoos may not be visible.

** Fingernails must be kept clean and well trimmed, not excessive in length and nail polish should be well-maintained and professional in appearance.

** Jewelry - Earrings - Two per ear are allowed so long as at least one is a stud. No other visible piercings are allowed.

SCHEDULE: Applicants must be able to work a very flexible schedule to include weekends (Saturday AND Sunday) and holidays, weekdays and nights. Weekday availability highly desired.

Desirable qualifications include: prior work experience in a high volume, fast paced Food Service or Retail environment and ability to operate a cash register accurately/efficiently. Hours scheduled per week will vary depending on the season. Must be 16 years or older. (18 years old and above preferred but not required.)
