ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK

Description:

Position Summary

Responsible for assisting in processing accounts payable in an efficient manner and making payments on a timely and accurate basis.

Supervision Exercised

Supervised by the Accounts Payable Manager.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

1.Accurately matches Purchasing, Shipping & Receiving, and Accounts Payable documents in order to enter invoice information.

  1. Actively researches invoice problems such as pricing, wrong quantities, and no purchase orders.
  2. Assists in maintaining complete vendor information and contract files.
  3. Assists in maintaining W-9 and 1099 reporting. 
  4. Assists in reconciling open invoice reports to general ledger balance.
  5. Ensures all vendor discounts are taken.
  6. Performs additional duties as necessary.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience

Required:

  1. High School Diploma, GED certification or equivalent.
  2. One (1) year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. 
  3. Must be at least 21 years of age.

 

Preferred:

  1. An Associate’s degree in Accounting

Licensing Status

  1. Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Gaming License.
  2. Will require a post-offer, pre-employment and random drug screening.

Working Conditions

  1. Work is performed indoors.
  2. Work hours subject to change with overtime work required.
  3. Must be able to work long hours under stressful conditions.
  4. Subject to hazards that may cause personal bodily harm: smoke, common colds, influenza, dust, odors and elevated noise levels.
  5. Tasks may be performed on uneven, inclined, hard and soft carpeted floors, cement structures and surfaces.
  6. Duties may involve walking, standing for long periods of time, sitting and crouching.
  7. Specific required movements include the following:
  • Trunk-bend, twist, rotate, push, pull, and carry
  • Arms-reach, carry, push, pull, lift, twist, and rotate
  • Legs-lift, push, pull, twist, and rotate
  • Hands-grasp, manipulate, bilateral coordination, eye and hand coordination, overall and finger dexterity.
