Position Summary

Supervises the daily activities in the Bingo Department assigning bingo employees daily job duties. Supervises and evaluates bingo personnel. Resolves disputes over the game by verifying numbers called.

Supervision Exercised

Supervised by the Bingo Manager.

 
Supervises additional personnel as assigned.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Assists the Bingo Manager in each of the following:
  1. Responsible for entire Bingo Hall operations when on duties.
  2. Assist in the planning and implementation of policies, rules and directives to accomplish department objectives. Improving and standardizing house rules and procedures.
  3. Direct supervision of all bingo employees.
  4. Plans, schedules, and assigns daily duties.
  5. Ensures customers receive excellent customer service.
  6. Interview, hire, train, motivate, discipline and discharge employees as necessary.
  7. Oversee and prepare reports regarding sales, expenditures and games.
  8. Provide information on pricing, advertising and strategies on marketing Bingo operations.
  9. Assist in forecasting and budgeting expenditures and revenues for the department.
  10. Maintain equipment and control of all Bingo equipment as well as protect all sensitive equipment..
  11. Assist with the development and implementation of all policies and procedures to ensure the integrity of each game.
  12. Plan and coordinate Bingo game schedules within the different departments.
  13. Develop and monitor transportation procedures, with regard to bus companies, payout records, and submission of these records to the Accounting Department for processing.
  14. Establish and maintain effective business relationships with vendors.
  15. Deals effectively with customer problems/complaints.  Make yourself readily available during matinee and evening sessions.
  16. Establish internal operating procedures with Surveillance and Security and take any additional safeguards as necessary to protect Tribal assets, customers, Casino employees and Casino property.
  17. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.

  1. Ability to supervise, coordinate, direct and assign work.
  2. Ability to make judgements and decisions regarding patron disputes and employee complaints.
  3. Ability to implement and administer discipline procedures.
  4. Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures.
  5. Ability to develop and administer a Bingo budget.
  6. Ability to work effectively with employees and the general public.
  7. Ability to write reports and maintain files and employee schedules.
  8. Ability to develop and implement training sessions for employees.
  9. Knowledge of Bingo, pull tab, and bus operations as well as reporting requirements.
  10. Knowledge of all Bingo gaming equipment.
  11. Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
  

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience

Required:

  1. High School Diploma, GED certification or equivalent.
  2. Must be at least 21 years of age.
  3. One (1) year of Bingo experience including six (6) months in a supervisory capacity.
  4. Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted New Mexico Driver’s License.

Licensing Status

  1. Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Gaming License.
  2. Will require a post-offer, pre-employment and random drug screening.

Working Conditions

  1. Work is performed indoors.
  2. Work hours subject to change with overtime work required.
  3. Must be able to work long hours under stressful conditions.
  4. Subject to hazards which may cause personal bodily harm including but not limited to: smoke, common colds, influenza, dust, odors and elevated noise levels.
  5. Tasks may be performed on uneven, inclined, hard and soft carpeted floors, cement structures and surfaces.
  6. Duties may involve walking, standing for long periods of time, sitting and crouching.
  7. Specific required movements include the following:
  • Trunk-bend, twist, rotate, push, pull, carry
  • Arms-reach, carry, push, pull, lift, twist, rotate
  • Legs-lift, push, pull, twist, rotate
  • Hands-grasp, manipulate, bilateral coordination, eye and hand coordination, overall and finger dexterity.
