SLOT TECHNICIAN SUPERVISOR

Description:

Position Summary

Under limited supervision while working with management to fulfill goals and objectives in the Slot Department.  Work to ensure a consistent and professional corporate image.

Supervision Exercised

Supervised by the Slot Tech Manager and the Slot Tech Assistant Manager.

 

Supervises personnel as assigned.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for maintenance, repairs, and general operating condition of slot machines and Electronic Boards.
  2. Supervises and trains all slot technicians.
  3. Responsible for following internal control procedures as they apply to machine removal, installation, maintenance and key control.
  4. Responsible for preventative maintenance program and logs.
  5. Tracks slot machine and parts inventory.
  6. Monitors training required for all slot technicians.
  7. Orders slot machine parts.
  8. Assists in annual evaluations of slot technicians.
  9. Follows through and delegates work projects.
  10. Adheres to Title 31 procedures.
  11. Performs additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.

  2. Ability to make judgments and decisions regarding customer and employee complaints.
  3. Ability to implement and administer disciplinary procedures.
  4. Ability to analyze and develop time lines, project resources, monitor and evaluate results.
  5. Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures.
  6. Ability to deal effectively with the general public and casino staff.
  7. Ability to write reports and maintain slot files and employee schedules.
  8. Ability to develop and implement training needs for employees and Tribal members.
  9. Knowledge of Casino operations, Tribal, federal and state reporting requirements.
  10. Knowledge of all slot and gaming equipment.
  11. Ability to work under extreme pressure and levels of stress.
  12. Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.

 

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience

Required:

  1. High School Diploma, GED certification or equivalent.
  2. Three (3) years slot tech experience including six (6) months supervisory experience.
  3. Must be at least 21 years of age.

Licensing Status

  1. Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Gaming License.
  2. Will require a post-offer, pre-employment and random drug screening.

Working Conditions

  1. Work is performed indoors.
  2. Work hours subject to change with overtime required.
  3. Must be able to work long hours under stressful conditions.
  4. Subject to hazards which may cause personal bodily harm; smoke, common colds, influenza, dust, odors, and elevated noise levels.
  5. Tasks maybe performed on uneven, inclined, hard and soft carpeted floors, cement structures and surfaces.
  6. Duties may involve walking, standing for long periods of time, sitting and crouching.
  7. Specific required movements include the following:
  • Trunk-bend, twist, rotate, push, pull, and carry.
  • Arms-reach, carry, push, pull, lift, twist, and rotate.
  • Legs-lift, push, pull, twist, and rotate.
  • Hands-grasp, manipulate, bilateral coordination, eye and hand coordination, overall and finger dexterity.
