GUEST ROOM ATTENDANT

Position Summary

Responsible for cleaning all guest rooms.

Supervision Exercised

Reports to the Housekeeping Inspector

Major Duties and Responsibilities

1. Change bed linen and duvet cover daily.
2. Vacuum entire guest room area daily.
3. Dust all furniture and surfaces daily.
4. Removes smudges from all surfaces, windows and mirrors.
5. Thoroughly clean the bathroom area wash tub, tiles, sink, floor, toilet, walls, doors, etc.
6. Replenish housekeeping cart with all supplies for designated work area.
7. Visually inspect room for cleanliness and appearance and signify completion for room.
8. Reports any guest room and maintenance defects.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

1. Ability to follow instructions, directions, and meet deadlines, including the thorough cleaning of a minimum number of rooms as specified by management.
2. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience

Preferred:

1. High School Diploma, GED certification or equivalent.
2. Previous housekeeping experience.

Licensing Status

1. Must be able to successfully pass a stringent background investigation.
2. Will require a post-offer, pre-employment and random drug screening.

Working Conditions

1. Work involves considerable exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
2. Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than six (6) hours per day.
3. Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
