TABLE GAMES DEALER

Description:

Position Summary
The dealer, under the direction of the Table Games Director, Manager, Pit Manager and Supervisor, is responsible for dealing the assigned game in accordance with casino policy and procedures. The Dealer may sign Fill/Credit slips, table opener/closer and temporary opener/closers. The dealer has access to pit areas, table banks, and cards/dice in play and customer funds.
Supervision Exercised
Supervised by the Table Games Floor Supervisor and/or Box Person.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Checks and verifies all equipment.
  2. Verbalizes on all game transactions.
  3. Accurately deals all games as assigned.
  4. Knows and understands the procedures for all games assigned.
  5. Provides outstanding customer service.
  6. Keeps supervisor informed about game situations.
  7. Makes proper change and color-ups.
  8. Possesses excellent dexterity for the games dealt.
  9. Understands and observes the proper rotation.
  10. Responsive and compliant with supervisor requests.
  11. Recognizes winning/losing bets and situations.
  12. Maintains awareness of game situations and players at all times.
  13. Walk the tables on games that require it.
  14. Follows all procedures regarding the acceptance of tips.
  15. Treats all customers as valued patrons of the house.
  16. Maintains a neat and professional appearance.
  17. Assists the supervisor in complying with all duties.
  18. Strict adherence to Sandia Casino System of Internal Controls.
  19. Performs additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  1. Ability to pass game tests and auditions.
  2. Ability to deal effectively with the public.
  3. Ability to work odd and unusual hours, including weekends and Holidays.
  4. Ability to exhibit a strong motivational commitment to the organization.
  5. Ability to follow instructions.
  6. Ability to speak accurately and clearly in public.
  7. Knowledge of all Table Games rules and regulations.
  8. Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience
  1. High school diploma or GED Certification required
  2. Prior two (2) years dealing experience 
  3. Successful passing of a table audition.
  4. Must be at least 21 years of age.
Licensing Status
Must be able to obtain and maintain a STGC Gaming License at the Key employee level.
