Job Title:   R Steak House - General Manager

Position Summary:
With limited supervision, The Front of the House Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the front of the house functions in a restaurant, including appearance, presentation, customer experience, and team leadership.

Position Details:
• Assist with staffing level and determining which staff is assigned to each shift
• Manages all employees to maintain the high level of standards consistent with the Riviera Casino & Hotel including, but not limited to, hiring, development, counseling, promotion, discipline and termination as appropriate.
• Enforce safety and sanitary practices and maintenance of front of house. Ensure compliance with operational, company policies, collective bargaining agreement, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances; all health inspections meet required state standards.
• The operational basics and standards are adhered to with total commitment and passion through providing direction and guidance to employees.
• Actively participates as a member of the management team
• Assists in the hiring, training and development of front of the house employees
• Responds to guests comments and seeking opportunity to build guest count while educating and empowering other staff members to act in similar capacity
• Sets excellent customer service and work examples
• Demonstrates knowledge of entire food menu, wine menu, dessert menu and preparation
• Maintain accurate and current collateral in areas of front of the house
• Engage in community and market related opportunities in the community
• Must be able and willing to understand a profit/loss statement, not limited to but including payroll cost, food costs, and cost of goods.

Minimum Requirements:
• At least two (2) years of previous management experience or a four (4) year college degree
• Must be able and willing to work flexible hours
• Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and health department regulations.
• Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States
• Minimum age of 21 years

Preferred Requirements:
• Certification in food safety
• Previous experience in full service (including bar) restaurant management
• Computer skills
