Job Description  
Supply Chain Analyst
Reports to:
Director Supply Chain and indirect to Supply Chain Product Transition Manager
Job Summary:
This position will be responsible for performing various analytical studies across supply chain functions, and making recommendations on courses of action pertaining to the studies.  Analysis of data to determine activity trends and opportunities for cost savings. Analyze customer data to determine opportunities to propose Supply Chain synergies. Creation of scorecards, metrics and tracking methods for cost savings projects or process improvements. Due to the dynamic nature of our business, duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.
Principle Accountabilities
Project Analysis
  • Plans and performs analysis on a variety of areas within the supply chain. Areas to include are Sales Logistics, Warehousing, Inventory, Transportation, Production and Network analysis.
  • Recommends and develops key metrics pertaining to analytical studies.
  • Analysis with resulting cost implications relating to the study.
  • Analyzes various pack strategies for cost savings and implications.
  • Develop trend analysis
  • Performs variance analysis
  • Assists in the investigation and corrective actions resulting from the analysis
Modeling Tool Development
  • Plans and coordinates the building of analytical models and gathering of data to support the models.
  • Develops simulation techniques for use at all facilities.
  • Documents methods used and modeling instructions for use by others.
Cost Management/Improvement Analysis
  • Recommends solutions or proposals that positively impacts service or costs.
Project Management
  • Manages projects as assigned
  • Coordinates new item introductions and item changes
  • Tracks key customer programs and scorecards
Report Generation
  • Produces reports on an ‘as needed’ basis to highlight important analytical data, study results and trends.
