Title:   General Technician
ANY shift- 1st, 2nd, 3rd or Flexible




Reports to: Production Supervisor

Status: Full-Time

Job Summary:To provide assistance to production floor crews.

Principle Accountabilities


§         Perform responsibilities as paste pumper, utility, seamer operator, relief, depalletizer, diced tomato pumping, ingredient weighing, etc as directed by supervisor

§         During periods of downtime, clean and/or sweep floor.

§         Keep area neat and orderly.

§         Be knowledgeable of all job functions related to production.

§         Work as a team player with members of the crew and others in the plant.

§         Adhere to all Red Gold policies, rules and regulations, including GMP’s and safety.

§         Responsible for monitoring, record keeping, and taking appropriate action for specified Food Safety Plan, Food Quality Plan and prerequisite program requirements.

§         Responsible to report food safety and quality issues to management.




Minimum Requirements

 Education and Experience

§         High School Diploma, General Educational Development Diploma (GED) or equivalent experience

§         Must be able to understand and carry out basic instructions while performing manual labor related tasks.

§         Must be able to successfully use basic, math, writing, and reading skills necessary to complete the required paperwork and projects.


Work Environment

§         Be able to walk and remain on your feet for extended periods of time.

§         Must be able to climb stairs.

§         Must be able to operate basic electrical switches.

§         Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

§         Must be able to operate a forklift.
