Red Gold Brand Manager

Job Summary:
The Marketing Brand Manager researches, analyzes, selects, guides development, and ensures distribution expansion and consumer purchase of the company's Red Gold Branded tomato products, all channels.  This position considers and analyzes numerous data related to factors such as market and account metrics, void identification, target demographics, products/programs offered by the competition, and how well the company's Brands meet the current and potential needs of consumers and customers and stack up to the competition in line with the company's business model.  The Red Gold Brand Manager is responsible for managing and marketing multiple Branded tomato product lines at various stages within the product lifecycle.
Principle Accountabilities
Marketing Brand Management and Strategy
  • Develops and implements annual Brand marketing plans and budgets, track performance and refines as required to achieve budget for multiple Brands that compete in multiple categories
  • Manages major short-term, mid-term, and long-term marketing projects, programs and plans including geographic expansion and product line expansion
  • Manages and motivates cross-functional teams to accomplish agreed upon marketing and sales goals
  • Determines the appropriate consumer target market and market segments to be served
  • Collaborates with internal and external partners to design, implement, and evaluate strategic business Brand marketing intitiatives
  • Interact with retail account sales and marketing personel to design and develop account specific marketing programs
Data Research and Analysis
  • Conducts category and account analysis, competitive analysis, and consumer research leading to the development of actionable insight regarding products, accounts, and consumer behavior
  • Analyzes and strategizes how the purchase decision criteria of consumers and customers can be influenced and changed, so they buy our company's Brands over the competition
  • Recommends appropriate product pricing, trade promotion, and marketing communication and support programs to consumers to drive Brand awareness, trial, repeat and loyalty.
Product Growth and Development
  • Recommends Branded product growth strategies, manages implementation of approved Brand and product growth strategies to ensure market success
  • Development and management of growth plans for under-developed Branded product lines.
  • Contributes to the development of new products strategy, plan and concept ideation: flavors, sizes, containers, products, etc. for all channels of distribution (Retail, Mass, Club, Convenience and Food Service)
Financial Analysis & Reporting
  • Financial evaluation and analysis of product P&Ls, ROI, multi-year pro-forma P&Ls and other financial reports and instruments.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Will direct the work of various cross-functional teams
Minimum Requirements
Education and Experience
  • MBA coupled with 4-year degree in Marketing, Finance, or Management
  • 10 or more years’ experience with food manufacturing in Branded product marketing management
  • Experience with analysis of syndicated data (i.e., IRI, Neilsen)
  • Solid category management skills
  • Demonstrated success in leveraging shopper insights to drive business results, ability to intuitively understand the needs of shoppers and retailers and translate insights into action with marketing, category management, and sales partners
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Experience with web based, digital, e-mail and social media marketing strategies and tactics
Work Environment
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Ability to ambulate fingers to operate a computer keyboard, telephone, etc.
  • Ability to work on a computer and view a computer screen for long periods of time
