Average Hours per Week:
Receives and records wagers made by telephone. Must be able to handle a large volume of telephone calls at one time. Must answer and terminate each call as stated in Polices. Must answer telephone in a pleasant manner using excellent guest service skills. Take wagers by telephone. Records customer’s transactions by entering all necessary data into computer terminal and repeats wager back to customer verbally for accuracy and verification. Must be aware of information that may be revealed to a caller: Scratches, track and Turf condition, Horse names, Current Race, Minutes to Post, Post positions, Tracks running that day, Phone number for ComCheck, Phone number for results and Types of wagers available in specific races. Must be aware of information that may NOT be revealed to a caller: Race results, Morning Line Odds/Current Odds, Operator names, Jockey/trainers/Owners, Program Picks and Over-weights. Performs other related duties as assigned. Promotes superior guest service.
Exceptional phone and data entry skills a must. Must have ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
