Job Description:


Duties & Responsibilities:

 





  • Adhere to Pinnacle values.




  • Provides technical advice, guidance and informal training to customers using hardware and software programs.


  • Manage system projects (e.g. server & network upgrades, changes and enhancements)


  • Troubleshoots and restores routine technical service and equipment problems by analyzing, identifying and diagnosing faults and symptoms using established processes and procedures.


  • Performs root cause analysis and develops checklists for typical problems.


  • Responsible for training of system users on proper usage of software and assisting in the daily functions of the department.


  • Works in a team setting, sharing information and assisting other team member with calls.


  • Installs new and/or expands existing personal computer based systems.


  • Develops and maintains telecommunications systems.


  • Ensure data integrity by keeping system security rights up to date at all times.


  • Learn specific input/output requirements (forms of data input, how data is to be summarized & formats for reports. 


  • Maintain system access (adds, changes, deletes) for all team members.


  • Must maintain the strictest confidence of any and all confidential information disclosed by an Ameristar entity or by a guest of Pinnacle Entertainment.


  • Support the policies of the local Senior Management of the Casino as well as Senior Management of Pinnacle Entertainment.


  • Maintain knowledge of developing technologies by reading professional literature and attendance at relevant training sessions, conferences and workshops


  • Work flexible hours including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays including but not limited to participating in the on-call rotation program


 
Job Requirements:


Required Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledge of computer applications

Excellent technical, complex problem solving, interpersonal, oral & written communication skills

Planning configuring, installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and providing end-user support for hardware, systems and peripherals, pc’s, printers, and cabling systems.

This is a non-uniformed position, which requires the team member be in compliance with non-uniformed appearance standards while on duty

 

 

Required Education and Work Experience

Associates degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience required

Minimum of 4 years experience in IT

Technical certifications desirable

 

Level of Authority:

The team member does not advises and recommends decisions regarding hiring, terminating and coaching team members as well as uses independent judgment in interpreting company and department policy. 

 

Reporting Structure:

The Team Member reports to the IT Manager or IT Director depending on the property leadership team.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

The Team Member supervises none.

 

Travel Required:

The Team Member may be required to travel up to 5%.

 

Licensing Required:

Team Members will be required to obtain and maintain a Gaming Commission License.
