Percepta is currently looking for enthusiastic Social Media Specialists to respond to posts on Twitter, Facebook and relevant forums/message boards.  Partnered with a leading Automotive manufacturer, Percepta excels at providing customer contact & auto dealer services including concern resolution, technical support, sales and marketing support, and business process management. The Social Media Team is responsible for the overall real time public interaction across various social media channels.
The Social Media Specialist (SMS) is responsible for swaying positive public opinion for our Automotive partner through daily interactions these social media forums.  This will be accomplished through a strategic combination of public posts and private messages on relevant social media sites including, Twitter, Facebook, and Message Boards/Forums.

Duties & Responsibilities

Main interaction-blogging/writing through various Social Media Forums

Channel Management – monitoring, researching, responding, posting

Research and master engagement tools

Help develop strategic and innovative methods for engaging current fans/followers

Prepare, proof, and edit publication for external audiences

Provide high quality customer support

Utilize/Document using appropriate CRM tools


What You Need to Have


BA/BS – Social Media/Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Digital Marketing, Journalism,  or related field of study preferred or equivalent work experience


Minimum 1-3 years of public relations, public affairs, or marketing experience (large company)

Minimum 1-3 years experience in concern resolution

Minimum 6 months blogger outreach with proven professional writing samples


Understand the basic nuances of Twitter, Facebook, and Private Message Boards/Forums and the differences in communication styles

Professional experience using Twitter, Facebook, and/or Private message Boards/Forums for the purpose of interacting with the public

Professional familiarity with major social media trends

Demonstrated success in Channel Management ( i.e. monitoring, responding, posting)

Demonstrated ability to interject personality into written content without crossing professional boundaries

Demonstrated success in writing/journalistic and proofreading skills

Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written word

Automotive Industry Enthusiast or background preferred

Ability to comprehend complex editorials

Strong computer and typing skills – speed and accuracy

 Must be able to work an 8 hr. shift between 11am to 11pm Monday thru Saturday
