Corporate SharePoint Administrator

Develop SharePoint 2010 content, applications and web parts - supporting various internal departments with researching, updating, developing and maintaining materials, documents, and marketing collateral, as well as supporting other departments in communication efforts. Work with Senior Corporate SharePoint Administrator to create site variations, add and configure web parts and deploy workflows. Work closely with infrastructure staff to setup and configure server farms within network and move application and content across farms
What You’ll Do
Manage permissions and restrict and revoke access where necessary
Create, leverage and manage content types, site columns and templates for re-use in the sites
Setup and manage alerts to monitor activity on business critical information as required
Attend monthly SharePoint User Group meetings and convey information to the team
Manage division intranet site and review periodically
Compile monthly reports on usage and progress of site collection
Establish and maintain a Community of Practice for Site Owners and users in the site collection
Analyze current business requirements and map to SharePoint
Determine and create scalable structure for top level business unit sites
Ensure uniform navigation throughout sites
Provide guidance to business units on structure of their sites
Manage search scopes and best bets with input from business units
Constantly revisit and review content to ensure business relevance
Customize and maintain landing page to encourage traffic and user adoption
Monitor for excessive complexity and suggest streamlined alternatives
Monitor to ensure workflow and tasks are working correctly and emails are going out
Liase with IT regarding the migration of sites when necessary
First line of day to day support for users and other Site Owners below top level site
Train end users in team on basic functionality
Direct users to train material and resources available in the company
Assist users in setting up My Sites (Assuming these are implemented)
Identify training gaps and escalate to Enterprise Governance Forum
Demo technology to business units
Error identification, investigation and resolution – escalate to IT required
Edit and customize pages using SharePoint Designer
What You Need to Have
• College degree or equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience with website management, strategies, tools and technology (web page design, HTML code, web graphics) - in particular, SharePoint Designer.
Strong PC literacy and Microsoft Office skills
Minimum one year fulltime SharePoint Site Owner experience or Comprehensive
SharePoint End User / Train the Trainer / Mentorship Training
Understanding of the SharePoint licensing model and application concepts
This position will be located either in Melbourne, Fl or Dearborn, MI.
