JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Provide outstanding guest and associate service while performing assigned duties, including interpreting and conveying information throughout the Resort.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of resort services and all outlet hours of operations.
  • Check Room Status and pre-check on all remaining available rooms.
  • Run rate potential report.
  • Run in-house guest list.
  • Check in remaining arrival
  • Separate and balance all paperwork, audit, and folios to the totals in LMS.
  • Print pre-register room and give copy to housekeeping and AM supervisor.
  • Generate no-show list for Guest Room Attendants and Front Desk Supervisor.
  • Post Room and tax.
  • Run movie audit.
  • Generate audit exception report and give to AM supervisor.
  • Generate and charge no show lists
  • Run VCI list.
  • Check over credit report.
  • Run express check out folios and prepare for delivery.
  • Separate check out registrations cards (comps, guest, etc.) to be added to accounting work.
  • Generate no-show list for night Guest Room Attendant.
  • Reinitialize move audit.
  • Close day reports.
  • Check out no-shows for list and update room status in computer.
  • May perform the duties of a Front Desk Agent if staffing level is inadequate.
  • Perform multiple tasks simultaneously and without direct supervision.
  • Adhere to all departmental policies and procedures.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be a minimum of twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Must have a High School diploma, a General Education Development (GED) certificate or its equivalent.
  • An Associate’s degree (AA) from a two-year accredited college, university or technical school is preferred; Six (6) months to one (1) year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education in any business related field and experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to type a minimum of 45 WPM with 85% accuracy, score at least 70% in Excel, Data Entry a minimum of 3000 KPM with 95% accuracy, score at least 85% on the Basic Math test, and make 95% with 3000 KPM in 10-key.  Must take the required testing identified for this position. (See below).
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of Front Desk practices and procedures.
  • Possess a basic knowledge of accounting
  • Have a thorough knowledge of Hotel operating system.
  • Possess a high level of organizational skills.
  • Be reliable and dependable.
  • Display integrity, honesty and professionalism at all times.
  • Must possess good communication, skills both oral and written.  Must be able to follow established phone etiquette procedures.
  • Ability to communicate with guests and supervisors to provide detailed information to other departments.
  • Must be willing and able to work all shifts including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
  • Must be able to lift and maneuver at least forty (40) pounds.
  • Extensive bending, stooping, kneeling, pushing, and pulling are required throughout shift.
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk approximately 60% of assigned shift.
  • Must be able to sit approximately 40% of assigned shift.
  • Must be able to work within a noise filled environment.
  • Must be able to work within a smoke filled environment.

 
Essential Testing Requirements:
 

  1. Keyboarding test               Minimum score = 45 WPM            (85% accuracy)  
  2. Excel test                              Minimum score = 70%                    (20 minute timed test)
  3. Data Entry test                    Minimum score = 3000 KPM         (5 minute timed test)
  4. Basic Math                           Minimum score = 85%                    (15 minute times test)
  5. 10-key                                    Minimum score = 3000 KPM         (95% accuracy)
