CAGE CASHIER

Description:

  • Be responsible for implementing the promises set forth in the mission statement by greeting guests and giving friendly, accurate and efficient service.
  • Window countdown. 
  • Cash, chip and coin transactions.
  • Disperse gift certificates.
  • Cashing checks.
  • Using the computer systems available for the above varied transactions.
  • Issue or receive payment of guest markers.
  • Jet-sort maintenance and discrepancies.
  • Completing credit applications.
  • Cash transfers (cage, change bank, slot floor person).
  • Guest claims.
  • Issuance and return of safe deposit boxes.
  • Pay jackpots and slot fills.
  • Receive dealer’s tokes.
  • Must learn to work front line, vault and fill windows.
  • Must have working knowledge of general cage procedures, policies and Title 31 regulations and be able to implement these regulations in his/her capacity as a cashier.
  • Follow all departmental policies and procedures.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned. 

Requirements:

  • Must be a minimum of twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Choctaw Gaming Commission.
  • Must have a High School Diploma or a General Education Degree Certificate (GED).
  • Must have money handling experience (preferably banking).
  • Must have good communication skills both oral and written.
  • Knowledge of some office machines is required, i.e., 10- key and computer.
  • Excellent math skills are required. Must take the basic math test and score 85% or above.
  • Must be able to handle guest confrontations.
  • Must possess the ability to handle sensitive and/or stressful situations or information with tact, discretion and significant awareness of confidentiality.
  • Must be willing and able to work nights, weekends and holidays and overtime, as required.
  • Must be able to lift and maneuver at least forty (40) pounds.
  • Must be able to walk or stand for 100% of their assigned shift.
  • Bending, stooping, kneeling, pushing, and pulling may be required throughout shift.
  • Must be able to work within a high noise environment.
  • Must be able to work within a smoke filled environment.
 
 
Testing Requirements:
  1.    Basic Math Test             Minimum score = 85%    (15 minute timed test)
